Gospel of Thomas

This
is the fourth edition of this classic translation of the Gospel of Thomas.
It has been done directly from the original Coptic and Greek of the
ancient manuscript discovered in Egypt. Its aim is to make available
to the reader the intended meanings of the sayings with as little as
possible coloration from extraneous sources.
The presentation of the Gospel is done in hand-drawn calligraphy, to
help get closer to the original manuscript. The sayings are given in
the short phrases identified by the French scholars of the Association
Métanoïa. These reveal the way Jesus spoke.
The text of the Gospel is preceded by an Introduction, and is followed
by Paraphrases or more liberal translations to help with some
sayings that might be difficult. A full set of Notes follow to give
much detailed information on the meaning of specific Coptic words
and phrases.
